DynoMiata sets two cookies. Both are required for the site to work. Nothing for advertising, behavioral profiling, or third-party analytics. The sections below cover what's set, what isn't, and how to control it from your browser.
The full list. Two entries. Both required for the service to function.
Explicit negative list. None of these are present anywhere on dynomiata.com.
Technically not a cookie, but often confused for one. localStorage is a small key/value store in your browser. DynoMiata uses it for two things, both local to your device.
localStorage so the page can re-render it without re-uploading. Ephemeral and never sent to our servers. Clearing browser data wipes it.
FREE TIER
No giant cookie-consent banner blocks the site. Here's why that's actually compliant, not negligent.
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive, the UK PECR, and equivalent regulations elsewhere, consent banners are required only for non-essential cookies. Both dm_session and __cf_bm are strictly necessary for the service to function (sign-in and security). The exemption applies. No banner needed.
If we ever add a non-essential cookie (we don't plan to), the banner ships first. We use GoatCounter for aggregate visit counts; it does not set cookies. No ads. No cross-site tracking.
You can accept or reject any cookie, including the essential ones. Note that rejecting dm_session means you can't stay signed in to Pro; the free tier still works without an account.
This policy may change if we add or remove a cookie or localStorage key. The date at the top of the page reflects the last change. If you have questions, email [email protected].
